Rwanda to host Africa Aviation 2017
Dates for the second Aviation Africa event have been announced with the venue being named as Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, recently named by United Nations as Africa’s prettiest city
Aviation Africa 2017 will be the 2nd event in the Aviation Africa series, the first having been held in May 2015 in Dubai and attended by over 400 delegates, featuring 40 exhibitors and 12 sponsors.
The event will take place on 22 & 23 February 2017 at the Serena Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda. The event will be a two-day conference and exhibition focusing on all aspects of the aviation industry including MRO, Business Aviation, defence and commercial aviation.

AFRAA announces date change for the Kigali Aviation Convention, due constraints on availability of hotel
The African Airlines Association announced, this week, that the Aviation Stakeholders Convention 2016 will take place at Kigali, from 7 May to 9 May 2016, instead of from 8 May to 10 May 2016.
Statement from AFRAA
“The African Airlines Association (AFRAA) would like to inform all its members, partners and industry stakeholders that the dates of the 5th Aviation Stakeholders Convention (ASC) have been moved forward by one day in light of various events taking place in Kigali which have put constraints on availability of hotel accommodation for delegates. The new dates for the ASC are 07-09 May 2016 while the event venue, Serena Hotel Kigali, remains unchanged”.

AFRAA (African Airlines Association) has announced that the Aviation Stakeholders Convention 2016 will take place at Kigali, from 8 May to 10 May 2016, at the Serena Hotel.
The objectives of the Convention
The main objective of this event is to bring together the suppliers of the whole range of airline products and services and the potential customers of these products and services at one venue annually for purposes of networking, knowledge exchange and business negotiations.
- Develop aviation business support base on the continent
- Facilitate interaction among aviation organisations & industry suppliers
- Share industry knowledge, information and experience
- Discuss emerging technologies
Who is attending ?
Participation at the Aviation Stakeholders Convention is targeted for top executives and managers from airlines, Civil Aviation Authorities, Air Navigation Service providers, Airports on one hand and aviation solution and service providers, manufacturers and suppliers on the other hand as illustrated below:
