There are currently 7 airports in Rwanda (Area : 26,338 km2). Only 2 airports have scheduled traffic. Gisenyi still opening, but RwandAir has suspended flights due to the war in East of Congo. Others airports are mainly used by charter airlines based in Rwanda or from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and South Africa.
