Last week, we published an article about the visit of a French delegation in Rwanda, to explore investment opportunities in various sectors, including the aviation sector. According to Antenne.fr, first contact were made at Lyon.
Jacques Kabale, ambassadeur de la république du Rwanda en France, était récemment à Lyon pour rencontrer des patrons intéressés par ce pays, et prêt avec son gouvernement à “dérouler le tapis rouge pour les investisseurs”.
Jacques Kabale, the Rwandan ambassador in France, was in Lyon to meet investors. Rwanda is ready to provide the red carpet, for French investors.
This event taken place on 26 June 2013 was organised by the CGPME Rhône-Alpes (General Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises). Aeroports de Lyon is member of the CGPME Rhône-Alpes. On this website, Rwanda News Agency says :
Aéroports de Lyon wants to offer its services in the construction or in management . It has already built the new terminal in Brazzaville. ADL has also a presence in Togo, Cameroon and soon in Mali.
Aéroports de Lyon meet 8 millions passengers, in 2012 and it’s one of more modern airport in Europe. It has won many awards.
The firm is interested d by the Bugesera Airport Project.
It’s too early to know, what will be the role of Aéroport de Lyon in the project, but we can consider, that France will be a key player in this project (previous reports mentioned a Chinese firm). In deed, Sofreavia (now Egis) won a tender for the future Bugesra Airport (see jobs vacancies July 2013).
