South African Airways restarts flights to Rwanda, six years after its suspension



Between 2002 and 2006, South African Airways operated a one weekly service between Kigali (place where this picture has taken) Johannesburg, with a stop in Uganda, with B737-200s and B737-800s (as shown on the pix).

South African Airways, the best African airlines in 2011,  resumes today its flights to Rwanda. Flights are operated with A319s, three times a week, with an expansion to Bujumbura (Burundi). SAA has full traffic rights between Bujumbura and Kigali. It can sell air tickets.


SAA’s Africa expansion reaches Burundi, Rwanda:


All East African Community countries (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania & Uganda) are now connected to Johannesburg. Kigali is on the TOP 3. Click on the pix, to see bigger.
