Kenya Airways Ltd., more commonly known as Kenya Airways, is the flag carrier of Kenya. The company was founded in 1977, after the dissolution of East African Airways. The carrier’s head office is located in Embakasi, Nairobi, with its hub at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Kenya Airways started flights to Rwanda in 1977. Today the airline provides three flights a day, in partnership with Etihad, KLM and Air France.
Kenya Airways Cargo was formally launched on 18th May 2004 as a division in the commercial department of Kenya Airways in a move that was part of the airline’s corporate re-organization strategy. It is responsible for optimizing the cargo belly capacity on Kenya Airways passenger aircrafts and developing a dedicated freighter network.
