RwandAir and Air Tanzania to start partenership next year :

According to Tanzanians newspapers, RwandAir and Air Tanzania will start a parterneship next year. “We talked with Rwanda Air and agreed on joint routes to Dubai, Mumbai, Kinshasa and Lagos in February next year,” ATCL acting chief executive officer Paul Chizi said .
Air Tanzania “came back” to the sky, last month, after its unique aircraft a Dash 8 Q300, has returned from South Africa, where it was on maintenance. The airlines has resumed flights in Tanzania and plans to add CRJ-700s aircraft, to re open regional flights.
RwandAir lands in Nigeria :

Yesterday, RwandAir became the third East African’s airline to serve Nigeria. The RwandAir’s B737-800 landed on Nigerian earth, at about 13.25.
It stayed about 2 hours at the Lagos airport, then it has operated a special flight to the Nigerian’s capital, Abuja, where another ceremony has taken place.
The aircraft will fly back to Rwanda today.

While the inaugural flight to Lagos is scheduled this week, RwandAir has unveiled a new timtetables (see the article published on 11/11/11 on this page). The third weekly flight is now operated on saturday, instead of friday.

RwandAir makes some adjustments on its Central Africa’s destinations :

Since this week end, RwandAir changed its timetables on its flights operated to Republic of Congo and to Gabon. Flights now leave Kigali at 8h00, instead of 10h30. Flights arrive at Kigali at 19h00, instead of 20h15.

RwandAir to fly to Pointe Noire (Republic of Congo) ? :

While Denis Sassou N’Guesso, the Republic of Congo’s president, has just finished a 3 days visit in Rwanda, it seems that RwandAir could add a second destination in Congo. For the moment, RwandAir flies to Brazzaville, the country’s capital.
Pointe Noire is the 2nd largest city in Republic of Congo, with 1 millions habitants in the metrepolitan area. It is situated on a headland between Pointe Noire Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. This is the main commercial centre as a major oil industry center and a fishing center.
Pointe Noire airport is already served by major airlines, such as Royal Air Maroc, Ethiopian Airlines, Air France, Lufthansa via Privatair and soon South African Airways.
RwandAir starts flights to Nigeria from, 3 December 2011 :

From 3 DEC 2011, RwandAir will start a threece weekly service to the biggest Nigerian city, Lagos. Flights will be operated with B737-800s. This timetable perfect matches with the Dubai, Nairobi (Kenya) and Uganda flights.

RwandAir operates a special charter flight to Asmara (Eritrea) :
11/11/2011
For the first time, a RwandAir aircraft landed in Eritrea, yesterday. 46 passengers was aboard, including the Rwandan Football team which plays today against Eritrea for the 2014 Fifa World Cup Qualifiers. The plane left Kigali at 6.00 a.m and will fly back to Kigali with its 46 passengers on Friday night
