Diar Capital (Abu Dhabi) plans to open a third hotel in Rwanda, in 2013

From 1 May to 2 May, Dubai hosted the Africa Gobal Business which is organised by Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry and COMESA Regional Investment Agency, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
During the forum, Jameel Verjee the founder of Dial Capital has announced that he anticipates to open three more hotels in Africa this year.
The first two hotels under the CityBlue brand were launched in Kigali, Rwanda in March 2013 and it is anticipated that three more will open this year in Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda. (Africa Global Business)
In 2011, investors based in Abu Dhabi payed a visit to Bernad Makuza (the former Prime Minister of Rwanda), with the goal to invest in the Housing and the construction.
In March 2013, Dar Capital opened its two first hotels in Rwanda, under the brand City Blue Hotel. CityBlue Hotels is a new genre of hotel in the sub-Saharan African marketplace. It a respons to the strong demand for Africa’s growing mid-market hotel sector.
