Asian Overland Services Tours and Travel (Malaysia) to launch Gorilla tours in Rwanda

According to TTG Asia (HERE), the Kuala Lumpur based inbound tour operator Asian Overland Services (AOS) Tours & Travel will launch its first tour intinerary, in Rwanda.
Named a Gorilla, will be both a five or seven day programme to spot Gorillas in the National Park. Prices startfrom $3200, for an all-inclusive package (excluding airfare).
Said AOS’ managing director Yap Sook Ling: “We are targeting matured travellers looking for a meaningful holiday beyond the standard tour programmes. These are travellers who have been to popular destinations, taken pictures of iconic structures and are now looking for something different. “This tour also supports Rwanda’s efforts at gorilla conservation, for without tourism, these animals will be poached.”
Since some years, Rwanda records dramatric growth, from the Asian market . The arrival of AOS shows also that the Rwanda Tourism market is growing, despite the global crisis.
According to the New Times, in 2012 ,the tourism generated $210.5 million from January to September, compared to $184.4 million generated in 2011 during the same period which corresponds to an increase of 14 percent.
Since the beginning of last year, the country hosted about 493,744 visitors, representing an increase of 22 per cent compared to the same period in 2011. Rwanda also recorded a remarkable 16 per cent increase in leisure visitors as well as an eight per cent increase in business visitors.
