RwandAir operates another flight to Darfur (Sudan)

A RwandAir’s B737-500 left Kigali yesterday morning at 06.00 a.m enroute to Al- Fashir, the Darfur’s capital.
56 police officers were on board, they will join a contingent of another 160 officers deployed in Sudanses’s troubled region.
The Rwandan Police serves under the United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) . Rwanda has also military troop in Darfur, since 2006.
This brings the number of police officers on peace keeping missions in Haiti, Ivory Coast, Liberia and Sudan, to 472.
